Clatsop County – NOTE #2 - This is a linked system with approx 11 repeaters, so key the mike for 2 seconds before speaking or the first part of your transmission is cut off.

Columbia County – NOTE #3 – Every Tuesday as indicated above and linked in soon 444.925+ (107.2).  Directed net handling formal traffic, public safety, weather, and technical information.  Stations checking in follow prompt by NCS.

Tillamook Co - Note #4 - Detailed  system information

ARES/TEARS Net 147.220, PL 100.0, 7PM Thursday nights (Note: No net on 3rd Thursday of the month)

Rockaway Beach – 442.750 (118.8) operating normally, linked to the backbone. We still need to add filtering to improve the signal level on the link radio and fix the audio.  The APRS weather station now has a rain gauge to complete the installation.

Cape Meares – 147.160 (118.8) due to go up very soon.  Coordinated by Roger W7HH, this will become the John Schneidecker Memorial Repeater  and carry John’s callsign when the paperwork is complete.  Ultimately this will be selectively linkable to our backbone for special needs such as the HEART hospital net.  An APRS weather station will be added to the system as soon as practical, and we hope to add a receiver for rebroadcasting NOAA alerts.

Mt. Hebo – 441.250 (118.8) operating normally, 440.900 (118.8) operating normally, linked to the backbone, and rebroadcasting NOAA alerts. The linking repeater that provides the backbone connectivity needs an audio fix to improve the quality.  The frequency agile remote base should be operational in one month.  This is a dual band mobile radio connected to the 440.900 repeater that can be remotely set to any frequency in either band, essentially linking us to anything within range of Mt. Hebo.  We have already used this remote base for linking to Portland for an ARES SET exercise.  Plans are to restore the 147.220 backup in our building this summer.  We have the equipment and are building a full duplex link to Portland which will allow us access to the Evergreen Intertie.  A Telepac node is being built to allow email access via Winlink.  We are now operating an APRS internet gateway on Mt. Hebo.

Rose Lodge – APRS weather operating normally.

Lincoln City – 442.600 (100.0) has been linked to 145.290 in Salem, the signal is marginal and we will be upgrading the antenna system.  This will likely become a permanent link and we will build a new UHF repeater for Lincoln City.  The new repeater will be linked to our backbone.  We’re moved into the new building, we have a little more antenna and radio work to do and a couple more cameras to add.  We have added a Telepac node on 145.090 allowing email access using Winlink.  The IRLP node is installed and will be connected to the new UHF repeater when it comes up.  We are now operating an APRS internet gateway on 17th and Oar.

Otter Crest – 444.750 (118.8) is operating normally, linked to the backbone and rebroadcasting NOAA alerts.  The linking audio quality will be improved this summer as we make a few changes.  A rain gauge is due to be added to the APRS weather station, and the anemometer will be replaced soon.

Cline Hill – APRS weather operating normally.

Yachats – APRS weather operating normally.

We’re not done yet!  We’re working on Cape Perpetua and hoping that we can complete some form of agreement by summer.  Once we secure the site, it will get a UHF repeater linked to our backbone, possibly a VHF repeater linked to the backbone, and an APRS weather station.  We are working with the southern Oregon coast folks to build a controllable link from Cape Perpetua south into their linked system.  Up North we’ve made contact with a couple site owners to add one more system, possibly up Highway 6.  We won’t be able to build out more than one site a year unless we get rich and have lots of help, but we’re steadily moving forward.
